Activities for National Healthcare Day

It has been a while... I was very busy with my new business and away attending two very interesting conferences back-to-back last week. One was the Healthcare Marketing and Communications Association (HCMA) Conference and the other one was the Publication Plan Meeting here in NJ.

The HCMA had some interesting speakers who discussed the current situation of healthcare as it pertains to U.S especially NJ. I will share this in a separate post later...

Getting back to activities for National Healthcare Day.... what did you come up with?
I thought of the following:

1)*Organize a 20-minute walk in my church community and raise funds to donate to local food basket/shelter or donate to the Party, it may not be on the 27th however....:)

2)* Invite Speakers to talk about Health topics during lunch after church service.

3)* Enroll in a Yoga or exercise program

4)* Promote National Healthcare Day on the Social Media.

Feel free to post your activities as comments to this post. Look forward to reading them!

Improving Healthcare

What steps can be taken for improving economy through changes in healthcare in the U.S?

Some of the most common solution proposed by several agencies, organizations, companies and top experts in the healthcare industry on making changes to the healthcare system is through:

1) Reducing costs
2) Improving Quality in Healthcare
3) Improving Processes and Procedures.
4) Cutting or reducing certain services

However, how do we go about doing this?

And are these steps, measures enough to make the changes that will ensure universal health care access to all Americans and improvement in the economy.

To address this problem the healthcare industry needs to be analyzed from a Business standpoint.
